After seing 2012 the movie, I wanted to create an apocalyptic scene. I also had the idea to model the greal wall of china for fun and I decided to mix both projects.

The foreground was modeled in 3dsmax and the background is a matte painting created with Geocontrol, Vue and photoshop.

Hi,

here is a matte painting that I'm doing for the background of an animated shot I'm working on for my personal portfolio.
The base of the matte painting is made with Vue 8.

The cliff was sculpted in Mudbox and then imported in 3dsmax for animating and rendering with Mental Ray Sun & Sky.
Snow was added in After Effects thanks to its great particle system.

For this picture, I used Vue 7 to create the terrain base, Mudbox to add détails of the rock, and Vue again for the rock material and the Ecosystem. Then, I used Photoshop for adjustments.

Hi,
Here is the first picture that I post on CGSociety.
For this picture, I used GeoControl to create the terrain base, Vue 7 for the composition, the ocean, the Ecosystems and the atmosphere. Then, I used Photoshop to add lightnings and make some color corrections.
